This morning while writing in my journal, I had the idea to jot down a few things that bring me joy. Everyone’s idea of happiness is different, and that is completely okay! Yours may be much simpler than mine or your list may be twice as long. It doesn’t matter really, as long as you find the good things in your life, and keep adding more, happiness is sure to follow. Here are a couple of things that are at the top of my list:
I’m not normally the type of person to like strictly romantic movies, however, this movie was amazing! It was comical, charismatic, sad, and insightful all mixed into one story that is sure to bring you to tears. (If I spoiled for you, sorry, you waited too long to watch it! ) Even though I can not relate to the characters in the movie, it definitely opened my eyes to how easy it is to forget the blessings that I already have when there are far more less fortunate people.
2. Spending Time with Friends
When you have those people in your life that show you nothing but undconditional love and friendship, hold onto them! These are the people that will be with you at your worst, and help you grow into the best version of yourself. ❤ Again, if you did not read the caption, go check out her blog at http://www.ravennicoleblog.wordpress.com
Even though this is not a painting, one of my favorite quotes is, “If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.” As if you didn’t already know, this famous quote was said by Vincent Van Gogh, and it really helped me to explore my creative side again.
4. Iced Coffee
If you are ever in Starbuck’s and you have not tried their Iced white mocha, order it. I promise that it will change your life.
5. Long Walks
Taking a walk around campus after a long day is honestly the best therapy. I try not to have my phone out when I am walking, but sometimes it is nice to snap a quick photo.
If you got to this point, thank you so much for reading! This is just a smaller more simplified version of my list of things that bring happiness into my life. Of course, family is important to me, but I feel like that one is a given.
Anyway, what are some things in your life that make you happy? Feel free to leave a comment, or just use this question as a journal topic. Again, thank you so much for reading, and I will be back soon.
